Weekly Police Report 3/9/15

Here is the Midtown weekly crime report, for the week ending 3-9-15. For this report, Midtown is the area from 35W to Hiawatha, between 28th and 32nd Streets. The report is attached as a Word file and the text is reprinted below.

There were 9 Part 1 crime incidents this week, up from 7 last week.

I have included information on upcoming Third Precinct block leader trainings. If you don’t have a block club that practices neighborhood watch where you live or work, please consider starting one. It’s often helpful to recruit a neighbor to help with organizing a block club. This training is very informative and free!

I have also provided information about the Minneapolis Police Band. They are recruiting new members and have released their 2015 performance schedule. Here is a link to the schedule: Police Band 2015 concert schedule.pdf

As always, I welcome your comments on these weekly reports. I want them to be useful to you. Thank you.

Note: I plan to be working at the Safety Center approximately 10 am to 1:30 pm the rest of this week and the week of March 16.
