According to Councilman Gary Schiff's facebook, Animal Control Staff rescued two sheep earlier today that were being kept at 1825 E Lake St. Working with a rescue organization the sheep will have a new and better home by the end of this week. The Animal Control staff indicated that the house smelled like the State Fair.
Sheep in the ‘hood
We are glad the sheep were safely rescued from these terrible conditions. But as someone commented, at least they weren't freezing outside! It appears Animal Control was tipped off when the property owners called asking about regulations for slaughtering animals in the city. A rather strange request.
The building is zoned mixed commercial and residential. Its owners are 3005 Cedar LLC with a PO Box in Stillwater.
Never a dull moment!
