Second Opportunity:  You'll find out more about this one at the Workshop!  It is the new web site being developed to serve Phillips/Southside Minneapolis area rental property owners and managers.  Among many other services, it is intended to help you find good tenants–and to help them find you!  If you have not already read CPS Greeley's invitation below, take a look and come to the workshop on August 12 to hear all about this great new resource tailored to your needs. Please RSVP to CPS Greeley so we have a head count for materials!

You can take a sneak preview of the site at: www.southsiderentalgroup.org.  It is still under construction, but once completed it will provide you a “one-stop” site to post rental listings, find good Tenants thru our Certification Program, find good Contractors and Services, network with other Landlords that can help you, view links to other resources and information. Our goal is to make Property Management a little easier and a lot more profitable. You have worked hard to own Investment Property, now let’s work together to improve your investment.

BE SURE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTERS AND MPD ACTION ALERTS.

A flyer for the workshop is attached.  See you tonight!

ATTENTION SOUTHSIDE RENTAL PROPERTY OWNERS.

On Thursday August 12th we will be holding a meeting of the Southside Rental Property Owners Group. Please refer to the flyer appended below for details and meeting location.

At our last meeting, we discussed the creation of a website for owners, managers and potential tenants.  The site is under construction and will eventually interface with Housing Link.  http://southsiderentalgroup.org/ The site will allow you to post rental listings at no cost, promote the Phillips Community and provide information and resources. We will be able to show you the actual web site and demonstrate its features and functionality at this meeting.

We will also be pursuing a Tenant Certification Program to improve the quality of the tenant pool as well.
Also at the meeting, we will have Jennifer Olson of Guardian Property Management doing a presentation and answering your questions about various aspects of owning and managing rental property.

If you have received a Rental Conduct Violation notice and are required to attend a Rental Property Owners Workshop, this workshop will satisfy that requirement.

If you own or manage rental property in the Phillips area, please join us. The website is a new milestone for the group.

Sincerely,

Don Greeley

P.S.  Help us help you–encourage the "owner of the property next door" to attend the workshop too. You can find out who owns what in Minneapolis by using its property information lookup service online–http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/propertyinfo.  If getting to know the neighbors who live next door to you helps make your neighborhood safer, then getting to know the owners of the properties nearest you will help make your tenants and properties safer.  Contact Don Greeley or myself if you have any questions about how to go about this.  Thanks!
