Subject: Chicago Avenue Corridor Plan: June 28 Community Meeting

Please join the City of Minneapolis and the Chicago Avenue Corridor Plan Steering Committee for the second of three community meetings planning for the future of Chicago Avenue between I-94 and the Midtown Greenway. At the first community meeting, participants shared their thoughts on the strengths and weaknesses of the corridor. The second meeting will focus on planning land uses along the Chicago Avenue corridor.  The following specific topics will be covered:

  • Overview of the project and purpose
  • Summary of public input received to date
  • Vision statement and guiding principles
  • Challenges and opportunities for investment in the corridor
  • A preliminary concept for future land use

The meeting will be both a formal presentation and informal discussions over maps and boards. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their ideas, ask questions of the City planners and each other and record their opinions.
